The   18-month, 36-credit iMBA (internship-based MBA) in Management   & Leadership prepares students to effectively manage and lead in   today's complex workforce. Our   iMBA kick-starts our students' careers by placing them in a 12-month   internship after 6 months of management training. After completion of   the iMBA, students can apply for the OTP (Optional Training Program) and   continue to gain skills through further work experience. Skills and Learning Objectives The   program prepares students for their careers by exposing them to a rich   body of research in managerial theory, and also by incorporating 9   credits of internship experience in the New York City metropolitan area   as a capstone experience.  Choose a Concentration As   a concentration within the iMBA, students can choose either to get a   certificate in Project Management or to become a certified SAP   consultant. The certificate in Project Management is specifically   tailored to prepare students for the exam administered by the Project   Management Institute, while the SAP certificate is officially sanctioned   by the SAP Corporation, the world's largest provider of   business software. These courses will occur in 1-week intensive sessions   at the main campus of Dowling College in Oakdale, New York. You will   have the opportunity to immerse yourself in business and management   theory while enjoying a beautiful setting on Long Island's South Shore.  Accreditation The   Master of Business Administration programs at Dowling College   are accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business   Education (IACBE) and have been approved by and duly registered with the   New York State Education Department.
  Admission Criteria Undergraduate degree You   must have completed a 3- or 4-year Bachelor's degree to enroll in the   iMBA program. No minimum GPA is required, but admission is competitive   and priority is given to students with higher GPA. Language requirements Unless   you have attended an English-speaking high school, college or   university for at least one year, taking credit-bearing academic courses   in English, you must take a test of English language proficiency and   achieve a satisfactory score to be considered for admission. Graduate   students must achieve at least an iBT TOEFL 75, PTE 50 or IELTS band 6.0   to be eligible for admission. Work experience No   prior work experience is required to apply for the iMBA. The degree is   designed for fresh graduates who want to gain work experience and become   managers. GRE and GMAT No   GMAT or GRE is required, but if you have taken either test, submit your   scores. Good scores will make you eligible for additional scholarships. Other requirements In order to enroll you must show proof of immunization and financial guarantee of at least $40,000. Costs and Scholarships Tuition   for the iMBA is $39,000. This includes all courses, placement services   for the first 12-month internship, and accommodation for the 3 weeks   spent at the main campus. We provide the following scholarships to   qualified students: GPA Merit-Based Scholarship Dowling   College Manhattan will provide a scholarship mirroring your GPA. We   will give you a scholarship of US$3,000. With a GPA of 3.9 you will be   eligible for a US$3,900 scholarship. GMAT and GRE If   you have taken any of these tests, you qualify for additional   scholarships. Offers for scholarships are considered on an individual   basis.  |
